Our Story
The first Vino Vinyasa class wasn't held in a studio. It was held in the Dominican Republic, in front of a small group of fellow yoga teachers, by a woman who had no intention of starting a business.

Morgan had spent years in wine PR in New York City when she discovered yoga as a way to unwind from the city and the work. After six years on the mat, she signed up for her teacher training — not because she wanted to teach, but because she wanted to deepen her own practice. For her final assignment in the DR, she taught a vinyasa flow and dropped in a few wine facts along the way. After savasana, she led the class through a guided tasting. By the end, her classmates were telling her she had to turn it into something real.
She listened. And in early 2017, Vino Vinyasa was born — first in New York, then in Austin, and now across five cities.
The mission has stayed the same since that first class. Wine and yoga are two of life's most rewarding rituals, and they're also two of the most intimidating to begin. Morgan knew both worlds, and she knew there was a more welcoming way in. Every Vino Vinyasa experience is built around the same four things that made that DR class come to life: fun, connection, learning something new, and a whole lot of joy.
Why yoga first, wine after?
Because the wine tastes better when you're actually present for it. We believe yoga prepares the body and mind to truly experience what comes next — turning a glass of wine into a moment, not just a drink.

Morgan
Morgan Perry • Founder
AUSTIN, TX
Morgan's path to wine started in marketing and PR at an agency in New York City — but it wasn't until a trip to Chile that the professional curiosity turned into a real love affair. She came home and started taking Wine and Spirit Education Trust classes on her own time, eventually earning her WSET Level 3 Advanced Certification with distinction. Today, she runs her own wine PR consultancy, where she works with wineries and brands she genuinely loves, and channels her teaching passion into Vino Vinyasa.
Yoga came into her life as a way to balance the city and the work. After six years on the mat, she signed up for teacher training in the Dominican Republic — not to teach, but to deepen her own practice. That is where Vino Vinyasa was born.
Morgan now lives in Austin with her husband Zach, their son Pierce, and their dog Benny. When she's not running Vino Vinyasa or her PR consultancy, you'll find her wake surfing, on the tennis court, at her favorite Austin restaurants, planning her next trip — or on the mat with a glass of wine nearby.
