Women in Texas Wine for Women's History Month

This month, Texas Hill Country Wineries added three new members and all of them are women-owned!

Wine for the People was founded by Rae Wilson, who is also the winemaker; Elisa Christopher is owned by Elisa and her husband, Christopher, who make their wines together; and Portree Cellars is owned by Janet Miertschin, who is also the winemaker, and her husband, Mark. 

THCW has many other amazing female owners and winemakers to celebrate this month.

Women Winemakers include Claire Richardson at Uplift, Assistant Winemaker at Ab Astris, Elizabeth Koynk, Winemaker at Driftwood Estate, Jackie van Sant Downes, Winemaker and owner at Kalasi Cellars, Nikhila Davis, Winemaker at Longhorn Cellars, Alana Martinez, Winemaker at Meierstone, Krystal Patel, Winemaker at Pedernales Cellars, Joanna Wilczoch, Winemaker at Torr Nah Lochs, Karen DeBerry, and Winemaker at Wildseed Farms, Dabs Hollimon.
